Alex Jackson, the artist behind the tribute

Alex Jackson is the stage name of Alexandre Masse, a Michael Jackson impersonator and lookalike since 2010. Based in Saint-André-de-Cubzac, in Gironde near Bordeaux, he created The Moonwalker Show and performs all over France.

A passion that began at 14

Alexandre fell for Michael Jackson at 14, with one simple goal: to make his sick grandfather smile. Already fascinated by lights, dance and big concerts, he found in the King of Pop everything he admired: creativity, stage energy and a unique bond with the audience.

In 2010 he took the stage as Alex Jackson. Since then he has worked on every detail, from precise gestures to the moonwalk, from stage attitude to costumes, to convey Michael Jackson’s spirit rather than simply copy him.

No longer alone on stage

For years, Alex carried the show on his own. The turning point came from Marine Badie, dance teacher and director of studio HMC in Ambarès-et-Lagrave: excited by the project, she introduced him to four of her dancers.

First rehearsal, first show, and the choreography reached a new level. Today Alex Jackson performs with his dancers, including Joanna and Tiphanie, in synchronised group numbers with matching costumes.
